Krinos Foods Atlanta is one of the fastest growing foodservice distributors in the southeast, with the goal of bringing foods to families in America that remind us of familiar flavors and experiences from back home—wherever that may be. Located in Atlanta, GA, Krinos Foods has rapidly expanded to operate their own fleet of trucks that serve and distribute to supermarkets, gourmet stores, delicatessens, and most food service institutions from Alabama to Arizona.
We teamed up in the fall of 2017 to deliver an on-point eCommerce website worthy of the company’s ever-expanding reach and high order rate.
A shared obsession for customer experience
Krinos is a brand with an unmatched reputation for providing high-quality customer service; its pride for treating customers like family was the driving force behind this project as the company’s top priority is providing customers with a professional, personal, and easy order placement experience. We share these values with them and our two teams joined forces to establish a creative design and custom checkout experience for their new website.
After taking the time to learn Krinos Atlanta’s core brand values, we designed their eCommerce website with our main focus being a smooth, customizable experience.
Prioritizing personal needs of the customer over company wants
Taking a customer-first approach, as all businesses should, Krinos Atlanta chose to prioritize the custom coding work required for this project and the customer checkout experience they wanted to create over more detailed design elements for the time being. A rapidly emerging brand needs a flexible framework capable of meeting the needs of a diverse customer base. We created a custom coded browsing and checkout experience on the Shopify platform that achieves brand goals and caters to the need of buyers.
Partnering these two qualities takes creative thinking and hustle, but when they come together and it works, the brand can market specific content, product offers, and a secure shopping experience as they continue to grow and shine.
A rich, personalized eCommerce store
Z Coast Media was honored to be selected by Krinos Foods Atlanta to take on such an important and intricate project. Creating an equally balanced eCommerce website that focuses both on the products of the company and the unique needs of Krinos Atlanta’s customer base was both challenging and inspiring. After research led us to understand the rich experience Krinos prides itself in providing to customers, the development of product placement in the store and customer experience was a seamless one.
The strategy and design of the eCommerce website work together to bring attention to detail like a distinctive potential customer vs. current customer log-in and checkout experience, and the Krinos Atlanta personality together as one.
A revolutionary human experience
Driving transactions are all about focusing on how people interact with the platform. Krinos Atlanta provided us with valuable insight into how customers used and wanted to use their website so that we could put the product center stage at all times. Krinos Atlanta customers can easily view their preferred products and add to cart instantly.
Z Coast Media also designed an intuitive shopping interface with multiple paths to becoming a customer, multiple paths to purchase, and custom search function.
Contributing team members
Shawn Bhavsar of Krinos Atlanta provided all preferred imagery for use on the site, product images, product description details, manufacturer information, countries imported from, and copy notes for this eCommerce website build.
Nicholas Zinkie, Creative Director at Z Coast Media, oversaw and contributed to the design, development, image placement, custom coded product display, custom coded search function, custom coded add to cart ability, and custom coded checkout experience for this project. Nick was also involved with technical SEO for this project.
Paige Edenfield, Senior Content Strategist at Z Coast Media, oversaw and contributed to the UX design, product description placement, Homepage copy, About Us Copy, Contact Us copy, technical SEO, and footer copy. Paige was also involved with custom coded product display for this project.
